
In March 2003 as part of the outreach programme of Shopmobility Belfast, in partnership with the Disabled Drivers Association (NI) and initial funding from the European Year of Disabled people , DRNI was formed.
Financial and other support was – and is – received from the Environment and Heritage Service.
DRNI is a rambling club for people with limited mobility, their relatives and friends, providing opportunities to enjoy the countryside. Membership is free and includes the use of a motorised scooter, the only charge being a modest handling fee for each ramble and admission charges when required.
