The all important Weather Forecast had said that the rain should stay
away, and we all agreed.. It Should! And for most of the day it did!

Once everyone had a scooter, the group, some 20 strong, set off on a
route around the more kept & cultured parts of Gosford Forest Park.
We learnt about the history of the estate and it’s occupants over the
centuries, and enjoyed the beautiful Arboretum, Castle and Gardens.
Lunch beckoned and we returned by a chestnut lined forest avenue to
the cars, and food!

After enjoying a picnic lunch (and a light skiff of rain) we gathered
ourselves and set off for a slightly less structured, but longer ramble
around the further reaches of the Park.

The scooters performed well over what was quite a long days travelling
and it was about 4.30 when we arrived back at the cars.

Most of us then retired to a restaurant in Markethill which I cannot
recommend highly enough. It’s called The Courthouse, and we were
well fed and watered in preparation for our homeward journey. Thank
